What is ecodesign

by yudaica2013 ·

Ecodesign is an expanded version and improved techniques for product development, through which the company learns to develop a more structured and streamlined. Driving towards sustainable production and consumption of resources more rational. The concept of eco-design is specified in the business agenda of many industrialized countries, and is a growing concern in developing ones. An innovative aspect of eco-design is its focus on product life cycle, which is an integral part of their application. But harnessing this opportunity will lead to the reformulation of products from the same design and proactive throughout their entire lifecycle, from procurement of raw materials (which in many cases natural resources) to its repayment to the same cycle at the end of its useful life.Integrating these opportunities as part of the same scheme is possible for multiple benefits: minimizing the costs of production and consumption of materials and resources, optimize product quality, improve the life of products, select the most sustainable resources or lower energy content, for the use of cleaner technologies and minimize the costs of waste management and waste. Generally speaking, the term eco-design means that ‘the environment’ helps to define the direction of the decisions taken in the design. In other words, the environment becomes the co-pilot in the development of a product. In this process environment is assigned to the same ‘status’ than more traditional industrial values: profit, functionality, aesthetics, ergonomics, image and, above all, quality. In some cases, the environment may even highlight the traditional values of the commercial sector.
